DESCRIPTION
A fine liuyedao blade with naginata-styled groove pattern, dating from the late 17th century. Healthy blade, no nicks and cracks, minor pitting throughout, some larger near tip. Narrowed somewhat by sharpening during its life. With associated iron guard and pommel of the same period, in a size that fits the blade. They are of in fangshi of "angular style" that was popular for these from the 17th to late 18th centuries. It is rare to find a healthy saber blade from this period, and unmounted iron fangshi fittings are also getting increasingly harder to come by.

Price € 668,- for the set.
